How we do it
If you asked a hundred different farmers how to raise goats, you would get a hundred different answers. A lot changes dependant geographic locations, climates, predator load, or personal opinions. All I can do is tell you how we do things, sprinkled in with some facts I have learned along the way. It's up to you to figure out how to use that information to raise your herd in the safest and healthiest possible way.

Goats HATE water so they need a shelter, preferably one that you can lock them up in at night. They are tiny and everything wants to eat them, so it needs to be secure enough to keep predators out.
We use a 12’x12’ shed with a lock on it for our bucks. The girls are kept in a 2 horse stall barn.
