The Blue Java aka Ice Cream Banana is known for being fast-growing, and cold-tolerant. We selected this particular variety because it can withstand temperatures as low as 20 degrees. The banana’s have a very sweet ice cream like flavor. Ours took 2 years to flower and was a little over 30’ tall by the time it did.
